Life here in Malawi continues to be full of new joys and challenges.
James has been working throughout the Christmas break at the ABC Clinic. In addition to seeing patients he has been busy overseeing renovations of the operating room and development of inpatient pediatric services. He hopes to have the operating room fully functional by April as there is a team of surgeons coming to do pediatric reconstructive surgeries. Dr. John Podgore, an pediatric infectious disease physician is here for several weeks helping in the clinic.
Holli arranged a visit to Ruth's Shaw orphan and widow project over the Christmas break. We were blessed to provide rice for their Christmas celebration. She is also overseeing the purchase of supplies for the Crisis Nursery from funds donated by friends in the US.
Chad and Wes have enjoyed a long Christmas break. They start back to school tomorrow after a month off. They had filled their days at the ABC pool, biking and hiking local mountains with James.
Ashley continues to grow and add new words to her vocabulary by the day. She loves to name all the people in our family: "Mama, Daddy, Cha, Wessy, Ashie".
Please drop us an email and let us know what is going on with you and your family.
